What is in-venue advertising?
In-venue advertising is digital out-of-home delivered on screens placed inside the rooms where people already spend minutes of attention. Not in passing, in residence. The medium is DOOH; the difference is dwell.
- Inside, not outside. The screens live where people pause: cafés, gyms, salons, hotels, co-working, restaurants, pharmacies. Audiences arrive captive, sit, queue, and stay — minutes of dwell, not seconds of glance.
- Context built in.Venue category is itself a targeting signal. A salon screen reaches an audience the venue already filtered. You don't have to build that audience — you walk into one.
- Attention you can attribute.Every creative ships with a traceable QR. Scans, redemptions, and downstream conversions tie back to the specific screen and daypart.
Twenty-plus categories. Live across the UK.
Pairings, impressions, QR scans, and category breadth all surface live in the platform. The numbers below refresh every 15 minutes from Screen Manager telemetry.

Twenty-plus venue categories. One screen layer.
Each venue category is itself a targeting signal. Different audiences, different dwell, different mindsets. You pick the room; we pair the screen.

✦ Plus a long tail of niche venues: dental, vet clinics, florists, drycleaners, salons of every stripe — anywhere a screen earns its place
Same family. Very different attention.
OOH is the medium: real-world surfaces. DOOH is OOH on digital screens. In-venue DOOH is the version that lives inside the rooms where people pause. Each layer keeps everything its parent has and adds its own gain.
You’ve seen the inventory. Now the AI that runs it.
The screens, the venues, the dwell — that’s the foundation. What actually makes a campaign ship in seconds rather than weeks is what comes next: a Studio that briefs, generates, targets, schedules, and attributes, all from one sentence.

Targeting that thinks.
AI weights every play by city, venue category, daypart, audience, and live weather. Your campaign gets routed to the screens where it’ll actually land.
Attribution to the screen.
QR scans, redemptions, and downstream conversions are attributed back to the exact screen and daypart that delivered the impression — no guesswork.
We don’t guess. We measure.
Every paired venue runs the same per-hour math. The numbers it consumes come from two complementary sources: VERSE Sense (live edge devices) and a calibrated model that reads Google Places popularity, opening hours, and venue category. Field teams visit unannounced to keep both honest. The simplified formula below is the same shape the backend runs hour by hour, every paired hour, in every venue.
VERSE Sense
A small edge device installed at the venue. Anonymously counts visitors entering the room and tracks dwell per visitor. No personal data, no faces, no tracking, just heads and seconds. Streamed to the platform every minute.
Algorithm + Google Places
For every venue without Sense yet, the model reads Google Places popularity (busyness by hour) and dwell time, layered on top of opening hours, day-of-week, weather, and venue category. Google Places signal is available for anyone to verify, in any browser.
Field visits
We send teams to a random sample of venues every month — Sense-equipped and modelled alike — and hand-count for a defined window. If platform numbers drift from real-world counts, the venue is recalibrated and the model is re-tuned.
A venue stat.
How often any given screen at the venue is seen across the day. Captured live from Sense or modelled from Google Places + venue category, then run through the visibility index and divided by the number of screens at the venue.
A campaign stat.
How often your creative actually shows on screen. Driven by your share of the venue’s ad slots and the spot length. The only number you pay for. Scan-rate is reported on top of this.
Live from VERSE Sense at 40% of paired venues. The other 60% is modelled from Google Places popularity, opening hours, day-of-week and venue category.
live + modelledPer-hour coefficient. The same venue is quiet at 06:00 and packed at 13:00. Five buckets: closed, low (0.7), medium (1.0), high (1.4), very-high (1.8).
× hourly weightAverage minutes per visit, from Google Places where available, calibrated by Sense where deployed. Five buckets from under 30 min to over 4 hours.
× minutes / 60Visibility Index per venue type, set to industry standards. A lobby screen is seen differently than a café counter screen. Default 0.4, tuned per type.
× venue VAIEvery result is divided by the number of screens at the venue. A person walking past three displays is one arrival, not three impressions.
÷ screensThe math runs only on hours where the venue is actually open. Closed hours are zeroed out before anything else happens.
open hours onlyReading the formula: arrivals come from Sense or Google Places, weighted by hour. Dwell is averaged from the same source. VAI is the venue type’s visibility index, set to industry standards. The result is divided by the screen count at the venue, deduping people who pass several displays. The platform sums across open hours and feeds the per-day, per-week, and campaign-level numbers.
- Hourly weighting precision (per-hour weights from real popularity data)
- Dwell-time distribution (the long-tail viewer)
- Day-of-week, neighbourhood signal, weather gating
- Per-screen visibility (height, angle, distance from path)
- Sense override on top of model (live wins if available)
- Field-visit drift adjustments rolled back into the model
